College Leadership

The FFREC is a non profit organization and part of the Michael D. Eisner College of Education, California State University, Northridge. College leadership is provided by Dr. Philip Rusche, dean of the College of Education, Dr. Michael Spagna, Eisner chair and executive director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, and by Dr. Nancy Burstein, chair of the Department of Special Education.

In 2006, the FFREC joined the TLC (Teaching, Learning, and Counseling Consortium) under the leadership of Dr. Michael Spagna. The consortium consists of programs already established in the college of education and includes: 1) the Mitchell Family Counseling Clinic, 2) the Special Education Literacy Laboratory, and 3) the Los Angeles Times Literacy Center. The goal of the consortium is to deliver transdisciplinary clinical and instructional services.
